Barrie Psychic Fair and more!!

Hello everyone,

Yes, it is THAT time of year again. The Barrie Psychic Expo is back on at the Army, Navy & Airforce Club in Barrie, Ontario. Friday the 11th to Sunday the 13th of September! I absolutely love doing the Barrie Expo every year. I never fail to meet the most amazing and diverse people, not to mention a few kindred spirits. The energy is always high and exciting and I can't wait to be in it again this coming week. Come if you can! Stop by the booth and say "hi". I will be offering 30 & 60 minute sessions as well as offering Soma Ki foot treatments for the first time. 10 minutes for $10. For those feet weary from walking the fair and for those who need some good grounding from all that high energy that is always present.

My phone is back to normal (or should be in a couple of days) and I do believe my email has been cleared of that over quota message. It's all been odd since my voicemail has NOT been full and neither has my email box been over quota since I've been receiving all my messages still. A friend of mine said that perhaps it was a message to me that I should have been taking the time to get better (massive flu) and spending my last week with Maggie before school. We'll I've had a great recouping week and Maggie and I have had some great time together....thanks for the message!

Thank you, Summer - it's been interesting...

It has been a very busy summer! I'm working on many exciting things and for Ballawoods and for me personally. I've met the most incredible people and had extreme experiences that I will never forget.

Fall is nearing and as it does the feeling of momentum returns. It's time again to introduce new things to the business and to my clients, time to put together all I've learned and pass it on, time to enjoy the company of like-minded people again. Please check out the Monthly Calendar on the website to find out what will be happening in September and October this year. Don't forget that the Barrie Psychic Fair is coming up, September 11, 12 & 13th at the Army, Navy & Airforce Club in Barrie, Ontario. I will be doing healing work there, selling my bathsalts and candles as well as lecturing.

Karuna Reiki coming to Ballawoods!

I will be gone for Karuna Reiki training until June 12th. This is an exciting opportunity to study under William Rand of the International Centre for Reiki Training. William Rand is one of the foremost experts on western Usui Reiki and the founder of Karuna Reiki.

This Karuna Reiki training will take place in Glastonbury, U.K., and the attunments will be given inside the circle at Stonehenge. Being able to touch the stones at Stonehenge, receive my attunements and have some time of meditation within the circle is the chance of a lifetime for me. I've always been facinated by the standing stones around the U.K.!

I believe that adding Karuna Reiki to my training will make me a better practitioner and allow me to give my clients the best possible service. It is also my hope to add Karuna Reiki training to my programs in the future following registration with the International Centre for Reiki Training.

January 2009 updates

A very belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!

I would like to begin with my sincere thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding while I struggled with my business responsibilities and the horrible illness and death of my father-in-law over the last few months. I appreciate it more than I can tell you. I am happy to report that as of Monday, January 26th, I will be returning to regular business hours and classes. Please check the website www.ballawoods.com for hours and class schedules. My sister, Erin, will be getting married this coming Saturday and so I have a happy event before work begins again in full. I am very thankful for the many blessings of this life!

2009 is a brand new experience and it will be a life changing one at that. I am so happy to be able to do this healing work and I look forward to spending time with you in many ways, attending to body, mind and spirit. This is the year to devote to being happy, healthy and whole on all levels. Cheers to a bright and shining 2009!

Barrie Psychic Fair coming in September!

Fall is nearly upon us and as we get ready for school and the faster pace of life that fall often brings, let's remember to take some quiet and special time for ourselves. Now is the time to return to your meditation rituals, your Bible studies, your peaceful moments of reflection. Summer Classes

Classes are changing at Ballawoods for the summer! Our Wednesday morning Personal Development group is now meeting on Tuesday mornings at 10am. We still have our Tuesday and Wednesday evening groups meeting at 7:30pm each week. We also have two new Second Degree Reiki classes taking place for all those who have completed the First Degree in Reiki. There will now be a class meeting for one day on Friday, July 18th 2008 (meeting at 10am) as well as a class meeting over two nights on August 18th and August 25th beginning at 7:00pm.

I Am Reiki Master, Hear Me Roar

I had my Advance Reiki Training today with my beautiful, magnificent Master Teacher, Heather. I love the things I learned, the new things I can add to my sessions, the new KINDS of treatments that I can offer...I love them! These healing techniques are so calming and beautiful. I can't wait to integrate them into my work. I've now got some lovely treatments to do for children and animals. So A.R.T (Advance Reiki Training) is all the training of the Master level without the knowledge of how to give attunements. So though I am now a Reiki Master, I can not teach Reiki so I am not a Master Teacher. The giving of attunements will be taught in a seperate class. Once I have completed that class I will be starting to teach on my own. I am planning on offering classes myself at the end of January/beginning of February. I don't think I could have offered them sooner when we are coming up on the Christmas season anyway. Everything in the Universe has perfect timing (it doesn't mean that I am not impatient sometimes).

NEW! Spiritual/Personal Development Workshops at Ballawoods

Hello all! I am starting to offer Spiritual/Personal Development Workshops at Ballawoods.

The classes will be Tuesday nights from 7pm-9pm and Wednesday mornings from 10am-12pm. This will start Nov. 13th and 14th and go for 4 weeks. We will break for Christmas and then start up again regularly in January.

The fee is $20/class paid in 4 week cycles. You don't need to worry about losing money if you miss a class, just come to another class in its place.

Some topics of discussion will be: Energy and how it works, Universal laws, Healing, Spirit, Karma and so much more... These are the kind of classes that changed my life and I'm thrilled to be able to offer them to you now.

If you have a group of 5 or more and would like to have your own group on a different day or night please get in touch with me at ballawoods@sympatico.ca and I'll be happy to discuss times with you.If you are interested in these classes please let me know as soon as possible.

Reiki at One Red Chair Coffeehouse

I'll be doing Reiki demonstrations at the One Red Chair Coffeehouse on October 20th. If you've never experienced Reiki, come and check it out! I'll also be giving out Reiki gift certificates for 30 minute sessions (worth $25 each). I'll be there from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Stonehenge, I'm coming!

This is it! They've posted the Karuna Reiki classes in Glastonbury, UK - where we get to meditate inside the stones of Stonehenge....my purest dream come true. I've always loved Stonehenge and I have visited, but you can't get anywhere near the stones. During this course I would be able TOUCH the stones and meditate with them. DREAM DREAM DREAM!

The course is posted at $1100.00 US - that's a lot. I'm putting my positive energy into the Universe knowing that I will be able to save that much money and the money I need for the flight and accomodations. I so badly want this and I have to try. I do want to be a Karuna Reiki Master (next level up from Usui Reiki Master) and doing it this way will be heaven.

For those of you who don't know anything about Karuna Reiki, here is a blurb from www.reiki.org.

"This class is the next step after Reiki Master and is complete with two levels, two attunements, four master symbols and eight treatment symbols. Wow!!! Seven, possibly eight, clients tomorrow! That is a majorly full day - I'll be so super charged with Reiki by the end of it, I'll be giddy all night. Some people think that after a full day of doing Reiki that I'd be drained and tired but that isn't how it works...it's the opposite. Every time I give Reiki, I keep some too. I am energized, not drained after each session. I have the best job in the world. So Friday is booked solid but there are still spaces for Monday :) Have a beautiful day!

The deadline for the Meditation Workshops beginning September 25th 2007 is now September 18th. Spaces are filling quickly so there may be a possibility of adding another weeknight (or possibly Saturdays) for the weekly workshops.
